This three-year contract was awarded to Incentive QAS in January 2015 following a competitive tender process. The contract covers daily cleaning, periodic cleaning, internal and external window cleaning, reception floor maintenance, external cleaning and waste management.

In addition Incentive QAS provide on-site shredding, washroom services, consumables supply and pest control. Located on Ropemaker Street, near Moorgate in the heart of the City, the 35- storey office building is managed by internationally renowned firm CBRE.

Incentive QAS were informed of the contract win in early December 2014, for a January 1st 2015 start date! This is not the normal notice period for a contract of this magnitude, but circumstances dictated that this was how much time we had.

There was then the task of mobilisation and implementing a £3m cleaning and associated services contract in Central London, with the small matter of the Christmas holiday period coming along slap bang in the middle!

Incentive QAS has built a strong reputation of flexibility, communication and a ‘can do’ attitude, so this short notice period didn’t faze us and we got to work immediately.

The operations team contacted all third party providers and mobilised their services for a 1st January start. Despite the Christmas period having a factor on access, we were able to facilitate a number of site visits and risk assessments and have everything in place.

We didn’t want to rush transferring staff, so with the approval of the client, we then spent the whole of January in TUPE consultation to ensure all transferring members of staff were signed up for a 1st February start date with Incentive.

It was important to us that we consulted with them all in personal 1 to 1 interviews which are standard practise for all Incentive QAS TUPE transferees. This engagement gives both parties an opportunity to speak freely about any concerns, but also about aspirations and future career ambitions. Mutual trust and respect were clearly evident on the first day of their new start with Incentive QAS, as all staff turned up on time, full of enthusiasm and very much looking forward to a fresh approach.

Excellent co-operation from the transferring site management team and a collaborative partnership which was formed very early on with the site based customer team, has created an excellent platform for us to move the contract forward.

“We are very happy to have awarded the cleaning contract at CityPoint to Incentive QAS. During the entire tender process Incentive have clearly demonstrated both innovative thinking and a willingness to face the challenges we have set in the initial interview. We clearly believe that Incentive is committed in delivering the best possible service at CityPoint.”
